Susi’s began in the early 1950’s by John A. Susi,  a local mason contractor who saw a need for a quality supplier for his industry to serve Northwestern Pennsylvania. Joined by his son Edwin, they operated the business as J.A. Susi & Son until 1996, when they sold it to the Graven family.

Now under new management, but still family owned, Susi Builder’s Supply has expanded into more services and more materials…all to meet the increasing needs of our customers. A new store and warehouse was added in 2003 on the western side of Erie, PA , and a stone fabricating business called Stone Kitchens by Custom Stone and Tile was created in 2002 from the existing in-house expertise from Susi’s. Custom Stone and Tile is now a separate company, still owned by the family, to create beautiful granite counter tops as well as architectural stone products. (see www.stonekitchens.com)

In 2005, a new sister company, Eastern State Stone and Supply  opened a new warehouse and sales office in Bristol, PA.  to supply stone and stucco products for the greater Philadelphia and New Jersey market. The market demands necessitated the creation of an in house construction company so Cornerstone Masonry was born. As the construction business grew, it eventually overtook distribution and today, construction and construction management is it’s sole function with distribution ceasing active operations in 2011.  Cornerstone Masonry, headquartered in Tom’s River, New Jersey, is now it’s own independent entity, providing over three million dollars annually of masonry and concrete construction services.

The construction industry evolved and so did we. A major emphasis was placed on outdoor landscaping products, natural stone products, hearth and home products and those hard to get specialty items. We’ve  added new brick manufacturer lines, enhanced our landscape product offering, expanded our delivery area, and broadened our support products offerings to serve you better.
